About Angie
Angelica (Angie) Mordecai, M.S., M.Ac., Dipl.OM
Master of Science, Master of Acupuncture, Diplomate of Oriental Medicine
Angie Mordecai is an acupuncture and herbal medicine practitioner, working with people of all ages, genders, and sizes. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic sequelae, digestive disorders, menstrual and reproductive difficulties, and supports many patients with complex diagnoses, auto-immune and chronic degenerative diseases.
Her interest in health and the wider human experience began after discovering yoga and meditation at age 15. Since then, she has pursued training in yoga therapy, Ayurvedic bodywork and herbalism, Western herbalism, organic farming, prenatal movement and birth support, and integral development theory.
Angie’s first career as an environmental scientist and climate researcher has informed her perspective on the role of medicine in our collective culture and ecology.
Her own experiences receiving herbal medicine and acupuncture over a decade ago inspired her to pursue a career in Chinese medicine.
She completed a two-year training in constitutional five element acupuncture and Shen-Hammer pulse diagnosis with Lonny Jarrett in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, and a four-year Master of Acupuncture and Diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida, before starting a practice in 2019.
Ongoing studentship is critical in any field, if excellence and rigor are priorities. Angie has continued her studies of classical herbal medicine, acupuncture channel theory, and pulse diagnosis over the years.
She studies Chinese medicine history and acupuncture channel theory with Jeffrey Yuen, herbal medicine with Heiner Fruehauf, and fascial anatomy and hands-on visceral manipulation through the Barral Institute.
She is the Hermione Granger of any group, and over the course of her Chinese medicine training, read almost every book in the student library.
But above all, what sets Angie apart as a practitioner is her core belief in the goodness and infinite potential of humanity. This is the foundation of her clinical commitment to all who cross her path in search of meaningful change.

About the Practice
KETER, pronounced Keht-air, means crown, peak, and pinnacle, and sits atop the Kabbalist map of human anatomy. It represents the luminous vibrancy that is possible when our bodies are fundamentally well.
Mission
We practice the art and science of acupuncture and herbal medicine to facilitate the emergence of extraordinary health and vitality. Through this work, you come to know yourself as a robust, empowered visionary authoring a more beautiful world.
Values
Your health is your greatest asset.
No matter what you want—a fulfilling career, meaningful relationships, longevity—none of it is possible without a foundation of health. For us, good health means your physiological systems are functioning well, and on most days, you rise with the sun and experience yourself as resilient and strong.
Good medicine integrates perspectives.
Where traditional Western medicine is consumed by a reductionist paradigm, classical Eastern medicine offers a perspective where complex, nuanced systems thinking thrives. Your emotional health and physical health are deeply connected, and you often don’t need to see multiple specialists in order to achieve your goals.
Our approach is rooted in evidence-based, time-tested strategies that consider the entirety of your physical experience. We stay informed about current research on conventional approaches, pharmaceuticals, and other modalities in order to provide thoughtful, integrated care for a lifetime of wellness.
Great medicine is rigorous and deep.
Herbal medicine and acupuncture are comprehensive systems of natural and minimally invasive treatment methods. By design, they offer curative and preventative medicine for physiological, mental, and emotional ailments at every age and stage of development.
Our diagnostic rigor and precision stand miles apart from every other medical model we have experienced and studied. Our practice has offered resolution for hundreds of clients who had exhausted conventional medical approaches, and were feeling hopeless and discouraged.
Excellent medicine is liberation work.
Good health, in and of itself, is not the goal. We become resilient and strong as individuals in order to embolden our pursuits of freedom and peace. This can look like profound work in the personal domain, or collective efforts against the systemic oppressions of capitalism, sexism, and racism.
We are here to create a more beautiful and more just world. Becoming healthy is the first step.
