Do you accept insurance?
I do not bill insurance directly. For those patients with acupuncture coverage in their insurance plan, I provide superbills with the appropriate diagnostic and procedure codes for reimbursement.
Frequently Asked Questions
How can I book an appointment?
I do not offer online booking for first-time patients. If you are interested in scheduling a session, please request a free 30 minute phone consultation to chat, learn about the process, and find out if our approach is the right fit for your current goals and needs.
Do you offer home visits?
At home acupuncture sessions are available in Manhattan and Westchester County with an additional hourly travel fee. Clients must have a massage table or reclining chair available.
At this time, home visits are available to established patients only.
Do you work with children and families?
I work with children of all ages in a variety of ways. For children younger than 8, sessions involve gentle palpation, massage, and moxibustion (the heating of a medicinal plant over specific points and areas).
For children older than 8, I introduce gentle needling along with palpation, massage and moxibustion. Herbal medicine is offered in a variety of easy to take formats.
How can I prepare for my first session?
Come to your first session in soft comfortable clothes. Eat at least a small meal/snack before we meet, and don't schedule anything stressful (like a long workout or difficult phone call) afterwards. If you take any medications or supplements, bring a list of their names and dosages. Other than this, there is nothing in particular that you need to do.
